it is pouring with rain in Portland - would love to be dashing through India with you - keep going. You are providing much dinner time conversation right now!
We're driving a motorized rickshaw (think golf cart) from Southern India to Kathmandu.
The Rickshaw Run is an annual event to raise funds for Mercy Corps' work in India. The entire event will raise about $80,000 for Mercy Corps and, with your help, our team has raised over $4000. If you would like to support our team with a donation to Mercy Corps, please follow this link:
The team is John Strickland, who directs all Mercy Corps projects in Northeast India and David Evans, from Resource Development in Mercy Corps' Portland office.
We will provide updates on our progress as often as we can. We expect limited internet access but we can update this blog via text message, so we will send brief updates on our status and location and then add photos and map updates when we can.

I'm still in awe over the 400 km in one day. How's the suspension? How's your backs!
Happy Travels,

oh man . . . I have ALWAYS wanted to visit and travel in India. I'm so jealous ;-).
Keep posting those photos - at least we can all be there vicariously that way.
